PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve radiation efficiency of an antenna when transmission and reception are carried out to a terminal device other than a portable terminal device after a radio card modem is put into a card slot of a portable terminal. SOLUTION: A radio card modem 10 has a connector 17 that can be connected to an antenna 16 placed at a position where a portable terminal device 1 has high radiation efficiency when the modem 10 is put into a card slop 2 of the device 1.
