PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately detect abnormality of a solenoid valve without generating an operating sound. SOLUTION: An operation check for determining whether the solenoid valve is normally operated or not is executed by energizing a control unit executing ABS control for such a short time as not to actuate the solenoid valve. An abnormity detecting means determining the abnormality based on the results is provided. The abnormality detecting means is so constituted that, when the abnormality determinations are performed a prescribed plurality of times by the operation check, it makes the final determination to be abnormal, and when the abnormality determinations are made but the frequencies do not reach the prescribed plurality of times, it does not make the final determination to be abnormal.
