RESIN COMPOSITIONS FOR TONERS AND TONERS

A resin composition which comprises (A) a petroleum resin prepared by polymerizing a monomer component containing at least three kinds of aromatic vinyl monomers and (B) a styrenic resin and has a content of the resin (A) of 55 to 90 wt% based on the total amount of the resins (A) and (B); and a resin composition which comprises (C) a low-molecular resin containing at least an aromatic component and/or a functional group selected from among ester and hydroxyl groups and (D) a thermoplastic resin having carbon-heteroatom multiple bonds. Thus, the invention provides toners for the development of electrostatic images which are excellent in fixing properties at low temperature, have mechanical strengths (brittleness) and grindability fit for practical use, and little emit an odor in fixing; and resin compositions for production of toners.
