PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric power generation equipment for minimizing the destruction of nature by utilizing hydraulic power. SOLUTION: The electric power generation equipment comprises two shafts 1, 2 provided and elevatable containers 3, 4 provided in the shafts 1, 2, respectively. The two elevatable containers 3, 4 are connected with a connector 5 such as a wire, chain or rope at the upper parts of the two shafts 1, 2 so that the descent of one elevatable container 3 causes the ascent of the other elevatable container 4. The connector 5 is continuously provided on a shaft 7 of a generating motor 6 so that the elevation of the elevatable containers 3, 4 causes the shaft 7 of the generating motor 6 to be rotated.
