PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mail server which automatically distributes an electronic mail, by specifying the distribution date and the distribution destination of the electronic mail. SOLUTION: A mail server 100 according to this invention comprises a mail reception unit 110, a storage unit 120, a control unit 130, a mail save unit 140, a management unit 150, and a mail transmission unit 160. The control unit 130 retrieves whether address information of an electronic mail received by the mail reception unit 110 matches address information of electronic mails registered beforehand at the storage unit 120, and retrieves whether the distribution date of the electronic mail is after the reception date of the electronic mail, and saves the relevant electronic mail information into the mail save unit 140. The management unit 150 always observes the mail save unit 140 and reads out an electronic mail of which the distribution date is due. The mail transmission unit 160 distributes this electronic mail read out by the management unit 150.
