CLAY ADDED WITH GREEN TEA EXTRACTS FOR PRODUCING POTTERY VESSELS, WHICH GIVES GOOD EFFECTS OF GREEN TEA TO FOOD AND VESSEL THEREOF

PURPOSE: Pottery vessels used for storing food are provided to give good effects of green tea to food by using clay added with green tea extracts as raw materials. CONSTITUTION: The clay for pottery vessels are prepared by the following processes of: (i) mixing clay with liquid green tea extract instead of water; (ii) mixing clay treated with liquid green tea extract with water; (iii) mixing clay, green tea powder and water; (iv) mixing clay with liquid green tea extract obtained by soaking green tea leaves into warm water. The green tea leaves are steamed at 100deg.C for 30-40sec, cooled quickly and dried in advance to produce green tea powder or liquid extract. The green tea powder is obtained by grinding steamed green tea leaves to a 3-5mm size and the liquid green tea extract is obtained by putting green tea powder into a net and socking the net in warm water(60deg.C). Also, the pottery vessels are produced by mixing clay and green tea extracts, forming, glazing, drying formed vessels under the shade for 4-5days, and sintering at 1000-1100deg.C.
