PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brassiere having a new function of correcting the posture of the upper half of the body of a wearer in addition to a primary function of forming the bust (breast). SOLUTION: The brassiere of a front hook type is composed of right and left cups 1, right and left front central cloths 2, right and left cup side cloths 3, a back cloth 4 and right and left shoulder straps 6, and fixed with fixing hooks 5 on the front central side edges of the right and left front central cloths 2. The right and left shoulder straps 6 are made of a tape having strong stretchability in the longitudinal direction. The front edges of the right and left shoulder straps are connected to the upper parts of the right and left cup side cloths 3, the back edges of the right and left shoulder straps 6 are crossed in X shape in the vicinity of the central upper rim of the back cloth 4, and parts below the cross part each of the right and left shoulder straps are extended to right and left lower rims of the back cloth 4, respectively, and sewn to the back cloth 4. As a result of this, it is possible to achieve the posture correcting function for stretching the breast and extending the back muscles as is the case of tucking up sleeves with a cord, with strong tension of the right and left shoulder straps which are crossed with each other in the back central part.
