<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia sintered compact capable of being subjected to laser printing, without significantly lowering mechanical characteristics of zirconium. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the zirconia sintered compact comprises firing a zirconia green body containing ZrO<SB>2</SB>as a main material and at least 3-30 wt.% TiO<SB>2</SB>in a reducing atmosphere, so as to obtain a zirconia sintered compact having a black color tone, and then forming a white color part by irradiating the zirconia sintered compact with laser in atmosphere. alternatively, a method for producing the zirconia sintered compact comprises firing a zirconia green body containing ZrO<SB>2</SB>as a main material and at least 3-30 wt.% TiO<SB>2</SB>in an oxidizing atmosphere, so as to obtain a zirconia sintered compact having a white color tone, and then forming a black color part by irradiating the zirconia sintered compact with laser in atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
