<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive antiprotozoal agent containing a material derived from a plant and exhibiting antiprotozoal activities or anti-leishmania activities as an active ingredient, and hardly providing side effects. <P>SOLUTION: The antiprotozoal agent contains a material derived from at least one kind of a plant selected from the group consisting of Dipterocarpus tuberculatus Roxb., Grevillea robusta A-Cun., Xylocarpus moluccensis(Lam.) Roem., Tectona grandis Linn. f., Lagerstroemia tomentosa Presl., Terminalia chebula Retz., Haplophragma adenophyllum (Wall.) Dep; Xylia dolabriformis Benth., Cananga odorata Hook. f.&.T., Michelia champaca Linn., Cordia fragrantissima Kurz., Acacia catechu Willd., Albizzia procera Benth., Dalbergia oliveri Gamble., Terminalia tomentosa W&A., Cedrela serrata Royle. and the like, and exhibiting the antiprotozoal activities as an active ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
