ELECTRONIC PROGRAM GUIDE APPARATUS AND METHOD IN DIGITAL BROADCASTING

An apparatus and a method for EPG(Electronic Program Guide) of digital broadcasting are provided to supply a user with various search conditions, include local information in the EPG and enable the user of one broadcasting channel to identify the EPG of another broadcasting channel in a digital broadcasting system. An EPG connection unit connects EPG servers of digital broadcasting channels to each other. A program information creation unit creates program information suitable for characteristics of programs of the digital broadcasting channels. An EPG server(301) creates EPG information by using the created program information and integrates the created EPG information with EPG information of a different broadcasting channel. The program information creation unit creates the program information by using a text, a moving picture and an image according to characteristics of the programs.
