A multifunctional holder (4) for a rod mixer (2) comprises a stable surface (23) on which the holder can be placed on a level surface (31) and a fixing surface by which the holder can be attached to a wall. Preferably the holder has electrical connections (32) and preferably a tool holder, especially for a stirrer and/or puree maker. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement of a holder and mixer as above.
