SOLID INK STICK WITH REVERSIBLE KEYING AND INTERLOCKING FEATURES

A solid ink stick equipped with a reversible keying feature and an interlocking feature is provided to prevent buckling or jamming in a channel by forming a curved portion at the bottom of the ink stick and on the channel. A solid ink stick(100) comprises at least one insertion-keying feature(154). The keying feature interacts with a keying opening part of a loading station when the ink stick is inserted into a solid ink stick convey system. The insertion-keying feature includes a vertical recess or a notch formed at a side surface(140) of a body of the ink stick. A bottom surface(138) of the ink stick is curved corresponding to a curved part of a convey channel.
