<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processor and a medium processing method, allowing easy and high-accuracy alignment of a magnetic stripe while securing high versatility. <P>SOLUTION: This medium processor 1 has: a carrying means 42 carrying a processing target medium to a first direction; a magnetic processing means performing magnetic processing to the processing target medium; a truing-up roller 58 truing-up-moving the processing target medium to a second direction crossing the first direction; and a shutter mechanism 59 as a restriction member movable between a first state that it is disposed in a prescribed position wherein positional relation with the magnetic processing means 45 becomes constant inside a passage area through which the processing target medium passes and a second state that it is evacuated outside the passage area, coming into the first state when the processing target medium is a magnetic processing target medium 10, 20 to restrict a position of the processing target medium 10, 20 in time of the truing-up, and coming into the second state when the processing target medium is not the magnetic processing target medium to release the restriction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
