DRIVING METHOD OF DISPLAY PANEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a display panel capable of displaying high-saturation images even if an average luminance of an image expressed by an input video signal is high.

SOLUTION: The basic number of sustain pulses for every subfield is found by distributing those obtained by subtracting the predetermined first number of pulses from the total number of sustain pulses to be applied to respective display cells within a unit display period. The second number of pulses for compensating the subtracted first number of pulses is uniformly added to each of the basic number of sustain pulses for every subfield to find the application number of sustain pulses for every subfield.
