The roller (30) has an external body (32) tempering a heat transfer medium. An additional compressed air supply is provided and openings i.e. micro-openings, are arranged in the external body for allowing the compressed air to escape. The external body surrounds a cylindrical base body (31) at a lateral area. The base body and the external body are thermically isolated from each other. The roller has a diameter of 200 millimeter. An external surface of the external body has profiling, structuring or engraving on it. The roller is driven by an electric motor.
