The device (1) has a connection (2) arranged in a water line network, and a hydraulic passage provided between the connection and an outlet (3) for preparation or representation of drinking water or table water. Subregions of surfaces (4) of components e.g. water filter and carbonator, of the hydraulic passage are coated with an antimicrobial and hydrophobic coating (6), where the components consist of plastic provided with an antimicrobial acting additive. Surfaces of sealing elements and/or sealing surfaces are coated with an antimicrobial and hydrophobic coating.
