A device for delaying for a set period the extinguishing of vehicle brake lights after the driver has released the brake pedal. The brake pedal is linked to a switch activated by movement of the brake pedal, power supply, a brake light and a fuse box. A timer is linked to the brake pedal switch for maintaining electrical communication between the brake light, power source, and the brake light. Closure of the brake pedal switch causes electrical current to flow through the brake light for a predetermined period of time, with relay contacts maintaining the flow of current." Subsequent closure of the brake pedal switch before the expiration of the predetermined period of time causes the timer to restart timing the predetermined period.
