A display control apparatus controls display of a transparent display which includes a screen configured to transmit light arriving from an object located on a side of a second surface so that the object is viewable from a viewpoint located on a side of a first surface which is an opposite surface to the second surface. The display control apparatus includes: an acquisition unit that acquires position information indicating relative positional relations between the transparent display and the viewpoint and between the transparent display and the object; and a display control unit that controls the display of the transparent display based on the position information.

A display control apparatus controlling display of a transparent display which includes a screen configured to transmit light arriving from an object located on a side of a second surface so that the object is viewable from a viewpoint located on a side of a first surface which is an opposite surface to the second surface, the apparatus comprising:
an acquisition unit that acquires position information indicating relative positional relations between the transparent display and the viewpoint and between the transparent display and the object; and a display control unit that controls the display of the transparent display based on the position information, wherein the display control unit controls the display of the transparent display based on the position information by determining a display attribute of a display object displayed on the screen of the transparent display, wherein the display control unit determines a region on the screen of the transparent display based on the position information and controls the display of the transparent display so that the object is viewable from the viewpoint through the region, wherein the display control unit controls the display of the transparent display based on a width of the region, wherein the width of the region varies in accordance with a distance between the transparent display and the viewpoint or a distance between the transparent display and the object, wherein the display control unit changes the display attribute of the display object in accordance with a change in a relative position of the viewpoint with respect to the transparent display or a relative position of the object with respect to the transparent display in the position information to maintain a state of the display object in relation to the object, wherein the transparent display displays the display object so as to be stereoscopically viewable, and wherein the display control unit determines the display attribute of the display object for a stereoscopic view based on the position information.
