PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automate the control of the power supply of a recording medium- type adaptor, to prevent a battery from being consumed when an operator forgets to turn off the power supply and to make a period long until the battery is replaced. SOLUTION: A chucking metal rotator (a drive chucking part 30) which is similar to that of a floppy disk is installed at a floppy disk-type adaptor 10. A small generator 20 (a rotation detecting means) which detects the rotation of the rotator is installed. Then, a power-supply control part which automatically turns on and off power supply of the adaptor 10 according to a signal from the generator 20 is provided. On the basis of the detection of the rotation of the spindle of a floppy disk drive, the power supply is turnd on only when the adaptor 10 is accessed, and the power supply is turned off when the adaptor 10 is not operated. |
