PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot with an arm of reduced size.SOLUTION: A robot comprises: an arm; an end base attached to a tip side of the arm; and a first motor which moves the end base around a first drive shaft with respect to the arm. The first motor comprises: a body part having a shape with a dimension in an output shaft direction is smaller than a dimension in a direction substantially perpendicular to the output shaft direction; and a projection protruding from the body part along the output shaft direction. The projection of the first motor is positioned closer to one side edge of a pair of side edges of the arm aligned in the direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the output shaft of the first motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
