PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aspergillus variant with furfural tolerance, further to provide a transformant obtained from the aspergillus variant, and to provide a production method of a saccharifying enzyme using the transformant.SOLUTION: The invention provides an aspergillus variant with furfural tolerance obtained by mutating Aspergillus oryzae AOK27 L strain in a furfural-containing culture medium and selecting the bacterium grown in the culture medium. The aspergillus variant is e.g., Aspergillus oryzae HO-FR strain (Accession number: NITE BP-01953). A transformant is obtained by inducing a saccharifying enzyme gene into the aspergillus variant. In a production method of a saccharifying enzyme, the saccharifying enzyme is produced by solid culture of the aspergillus variant or the transformant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
