THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled recording medium free of blocking and halation during the preservation thereof by making an electron rays hardening prepolymer or oligomer contained into a color material layer containing hot melting material and a surface layer coating liquid to harden the layers with the irradiation of electron rays after the liquid is applied on a support. CONSTITUTION:An electron rays hardening prepolymer of oligomer (e.g. polyesteracrylate prepolymer) to be hardened with the irradiation of electron rays is contained into a coating liquid of a color layer and/or surface layer containing, hot melting material such as paraffin wax preferably at the rate of 1-20wt% (per color material layer solid component). Then, after this coating liquid is applied on a support, the color layer and/or surface layer are hardened by irradiation of electron rays to obtain a desired recording medium. EFFECT:Printing is possible with a low energy at a high transfer while free from ground staining and trailing on a recording sheet.
