摘要 An imaging device and a capsule endoscope are provided which, even when capturing normal images and narrowband images simultaneously, can obtain high-quality narrowband images. This imaging device is provided with: an imaging element 230 for photoelectrically converting light received by each of multiple pixels arranged in a grid and generates an electric signal; a color filter 231 comprising filter units arranged so as to correspond to the multiple pixels, the filter units themselves comprising multiple first band-pass filters that pass primary color or complementary color frequency bands, and a second band-pass filter that passes a narrow band of light that has a maximum value outside of the wavelength band of the light passed by the first filter; and a light source unit 24 for irradiating light which has a convex distribution and wherein the upper limit value and/or the lower limit value of the wavelengths at half the maximum value in the light spectrum of the light source is between the upper limit value and the lower limit value of the wavelengths at half the maximum value in the transmission spectrum of the second band-pass filter.
