摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide satisfactory moldability without problems in separator characteristics such as electrical resistance, superior gas impermeability, liquid swelling performance and mechanical strength by constituting resin constituting a separator out of a molding body by dispersing expansive graphite powder, silicon or a silicon containing compound. SOLUTION: Silicon or a silicon containing compound is of a powder shape, and a using resin is suitably a thermosetting phenol resin hardening/reacting by ring-opening polymerization. Natural graphite, kish graphite and thermally decomposable graphite are desirable as the raw material of expansive graphite powder. In forming graphite into expansive graphite, the graphite is soaked in a material by adding hydrogen peroxide to a sulfuric acid and a nitric acid to form a graphite interlayer compound. After being washed by water, the graphite interlayer compound is rapidly heated to perform expansive processing in a C-axis direction of a graphite crystal. A blending rate of the expansive graphite powder and the resin can be used in a range of expansive graphite powder/resin = 95/5 to 30/70 (weight ratio). A blending quantity of silicon is preferably in the range of 1 to 60 wt.% to the resin.
