PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system having an optical repeating system which uses a laser beam capable of easily expanding the service area of a base station. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a remote transmitting and receiving device A which is installed in the service area 1 of the base station 10 and receives and converts an RF signal from the base station onto a laser beam signal, and transmits it to a shadow area 2 directly or by bypassing, and receives a laser beam signal from the shadow area 2 directly or by bypassing, converts it into an RF signal, and sends it to the base station 10 and a repeating device D which sends part of the laser beam signal received in the shadow area from the remote transmitting and receiving device A directly or by bypassing into an RF signal and sends it to a subscriber terminal, sends the remainder to the shadow area with a laser beam signal, and transmits an RF signal received from the subscriber terminal machine and a laser beam signal received from another shadow area to the remote transmitting and receiving device A directly or by bypassing with the laser beam signal. |
