An electric appliances for personal care, in particular electric shavers (1), comprising a magnetic linear drive unit (5) having first (6) and second (7) drive components supported for linear displacement relative to each other and adapted to interact with each other magnetically, wherein a drive support (17) comprising leaf springs (27, 28) is provided to suspend the drive unit (5) in a mounting structure (16, 2). The drive support (17, 27, 28) supporting the drive unit (5) in the mounting structure (16, 2) is adapted to provide a kind of rotation axis (22) allowing said drive unit (5) to rock relative to the mounting structure (16, 2). This rotation axis is spaced apart from the drive unit (5) to provide for an increasing or decreasing of the oscillation amplitude of the functional elements (cutter elements 4) compared to the drive unit (5). |
