FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of mandrel for piercing tube mill for making seamless steel pipe/tube. First, mandrel surface is grit-blasted. Upon prepared surface of mandrel, film containing iron oxides and iron is applied by electric arc sputtering. Sputtering is performed using wire with filler, wherein tubular iron shell is filled with, at least, iron oxide particles.EFFECT: higher efficiency of mandrel manufacture, and reliable extension of service life of mandrel in piercing process are provided.3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl |
