Frequency characteristics of a serial resonance circuit formed by leakage inductance of the step-up transformer and capacitors are measured in a state where the power transmission-side measurement tool is placed on the power transmitting apparatus.

A method for measuring frequency characteristics of a power transmitting apparatus having an AC generating circuit, a power transmission resonance circuit connected to the AC generating circuit, and first and second electrodes connected to an output side of the power transmission resonance circuit, the method comprising: placing a power transmission side measurement tool having first and second measurement electrodes in operational engagement with the first and second electrodes, respectively, whereby the power transmission side measurement tool is in operational engagement with the power transmission apparatus; and while the power transmission side measurement tool is in operational engagement with the power transmission apparatus, measuring the frequency characteristics of the power transmission resonance circuit at a location between the AC generating circuit and the power transmission resonance circuit.
