PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal diffused layer, which improves corrosion resistance of a substrate formed of a metal material by an optimum processing condition in a shot peening, and to provide a metal material.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a metal diffused layer, includes: a substitution step of substituting the atmosphere inside a chamber 110 with argon gas; a heating step of heating the substrate W to the temperature of 900°C; a jetting step of jetting a projection material P that is prepared by mixing chrome particles with SKH 59 steel particles, to a surface of the substrate W to form a metal diffused layer containing chrome; and a cooling step of cooling the substrate W. |
