PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structural member for a vehicle capable of suppressing deformation of corners in a vehicle collision, and achieving enhancement in flexural strength and compression flexural strength at high weight efficiency.SOLUTION: A structural member for a vehicle comprises: a first surface 11 on which a compressive force acts when a load is applied; a second surface 12 on which a tensional force acts; and third surface parts 13 disposed between the first and second surfaces 11, 12 and connecting both ends of the first and second surfaces 11, 12 to form corners c1-c4; and is provided with: a first connection part 21 disposed in a vicinity of the corners c1, c2 between the first surface 11 and the third surfaces 13 to substantially linearly connect the first surface 11 and the third surfaces 13; and a second connection part 22 disposed to substantially linearly connect the first connection part 21 and the corners c1, c2 between the first surface 11 and the third surfaces 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
