Liquid is held inside an inner bag (1) of liquid-impermeable material provided with refilling and discharge valves (2), and surrounded by an outer bag (3) and an outer box (6) made from e.g. cardboard. A shock damping layer (4) in the outer box is positioned beneath the inner bag. The container is mounted on top of a pallet (7) designed to absorb the initial impact and break up as the container hits the ground.
