<p>An adaptive braking system for a motor vehicle including a hydraulically actuated brake pressure modulator controlled by solenoid valves which are responsive to signals from wheel deceleration sensors transmitted through a computer. The power piston of the modulator is prevented from separating from the modulating piston by passing the control fluid through a valve positioned in the power piston and held open by contact with the modulating piston.</p> |
