PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of printing well-recognizable MICR(Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) characters with a electrophotographic printer. SOLUTION: FIG. (A) shows a dot pattern of a character '0' printed with an electrophotographic printer having a 300 dpi resolution according to this method, and FIG. (B) shows a dot pattern of a character '0' printed with a similar electrophotographic printer according to the font shape specified by the Standard (ANSI X9.27-1988). The dot pattern in FIG. (A) has dot groups enclosed by the broken lines in addition to the dot pattern in FIG. (B). Therefore, an improved font of E-13B expressed by this dot pattern is taller than the original font of E-13B. The dot pattern in FIG. (A) is increased in a variation rate between non-printing part and the printing part in the direction of the scanning of the reading with a magnetic head. |
