PURPOSE:To enable smooth winding, by providing drive rollers inside and outside a wound core and applying turning forces to the core from both sides to wind the core around a leg of a coil. CONSTITUTION:After a wound core 3 previously shaped and wound is arranged on an inside drive roller 4, the end of the outermost layer 8 of the wound core is passed inside a leg 6a of a coil 5 and tentatively fixed on a part X of the outermost layer. Another drive roller 2 and a guide pole 9 are provided in contact with the outside of the circular outermost layer 8. As a result, the core 3 is maintained in the form of a prescrived circle by the driving roller 2 and the guide poles 9, 5. When the rollers 2, 4 are rotated in the direction of an arrow, the core 3 is revolved in the direction of another arrow so that all the core is finally rewound inside the circle. After that, the roller 2 and the pole 5 are removed and the tentative fixation X is eliminated. The entire rewound core 3 is compressed from its outermost layer 8. As a result, the steel band is wound around the leg 6a by the elasticity of the band, which acts to return the band to the form of the previously shaped wound core. |
