PURPOSE:To sharply reduce the amount of chips adhering to a disk and to avoid dropout and external appearance defects of a completed disk by completely removing from the mold chips sticking or electrostatically adhering to the gate cutter part. CONSTITUTION:The rotation effecting member 6 is provided at its tip with a rotary brush 7 and a sucker 8 having a diameter larger than the diameter of the gate cutter die 11. The sucker 8 is brought into contact with the surface of the gate cutter die 11 when the rotary brush 7 approaches a point where there is a difference in level between the gate cutter punch 10 and the gate cutter die 11, that is, a place to which the chip 15 adheres. When the sucker 8 abuts on the surface of the gate cutter die 11 and the rotary brush 7 enters a specified space, air is let to flow in the arror direction of compressed air may be supplied from the mold side. The air to be supplied should be clean and dry and preferably be free from electricity. These two operations can eliminate and discharge the adhered chips completely. |
