PURPOSE:To obtain a looped yarn of shape-memory type capable of obtaining woven fabric of looped yarn of high density, having excellent passing ability through heald and reed and without interlace of loops with each other in a case of using as warp of woven fabric, showing fading or fining of loop formed at initial processing and reconstructing by heating in relaxed state. CONSTITUTION:A yarn 2 (preferably having >=10% shrinkage in boiling water and 1-15 denier single fiber size) released from core yarn package 1 and a yarn 6 (preferably having <=5% difference of shrinkage in boiling water to the core yarn and 0.05-1.3 denier single fiber size) released from sheath yarn package 5 are made to pass through turbulent flow region of pressured air to obtain a looped yarn 10. Said looped yarn 10 is stretched between take up roller 11 and take up roller 12 and loop is faded or fined to obtain a looped yarn of shape-memory type having improved take-off from package and excellent high-speed releasing property. Besides, said looped yarn is preferably reconstructed >=20% after freely shrunk 98 deg.C hot water for 10 min. |
