Method for producing fine powder of Ca3(PO4)2. nH2O and Mg3(PO4)2. 8H2O comprises (a) pulverizing dolomite by 10-25 mesh and pyrolyzing at 1000 deg. C, (b) hydrating to obtain Ca(OH)2 and Mg (OH)2 mixt. soln., (c) adding phosphoric acid to be 1.5-1.67 of Ca+Mg/P ratio, (d) pptg. with NH4OH as precipitant and H2O2 as buffer, (e) ripening, stirring, washing with water, and (f) filtering and drying. The powder show below 0.05 micron of particle size and below 3.0 of sp. gr..
