The supporting foot consists of a base plate (1) to which a vertical tube (3) is welded. The upper end of this tube has a recess (4) formed in the end face of its wall. The recess receives the flange (6) of a nut (5). The nut is held in place by a coupling nut (9) which grips the upper surface of the flange (6) and is screwed on to the external screw thread on the upper part of the tube (3). The nut (5) receives a bolt (7) to which a bracket (8) is attached at its upper end. The wooden or steel post is fastened to the bracket (8). The height of the post can then be adjusted by the nut (5) which can be locked by the locknut (14). USE/ADVANTAGE - Fixing of steel or wooden posts to foundations with means to adjust height of the post.
