PURPOSE:To effect corner rounding works simply without generating any chip by deforming foamable synthetic resin box material thermally by an edge member. CONSTITUTION:Several threads of edge members, arranged in parallel with intervals suitable for corner rounding works, are heated to a temperature suitable for deforming foamable synthetic resin box material 2 thermally. Then, the edge members are contacted with the corner rounding working sections of the foamable synthetic resin box material 2 to form grooves, whose number is same as the number of edge members, by the thermal deformation of the material at the sections. The device is provided with a working tool 1, in which several threads of edge members are arranged in parallel with intervals suitable for the work, a heating means 5, heating the working tool to a temperature suitable for deforming the box material 2 thermally, and a means for providing the edge members and the foamable synthetic resin box material 2 with a relative motion to contact both of them mutually. |
