PURPOSE:To improve the precision of attachment of a laser diode to a coupling lens and to improve the production efficiency. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a unit as the light source of an optical disk device, a coupling lens 2 is set to one face of a unit chassis 15, and a laser diode 1 is press-fitted and fixed to a fitting hole 21 formed in the unit chassis 15 from the opposite face while being so adjusted that the light emission point of the laser diode 1 is placed in the focus of the coupling lens 2. |
