Reciprocating powered handsaw - has additional vertical oscillation of blade derived from eccentric disc riding against arm connected to rear end of pivoted carrier
摘要

The longitudinal reciprocating motion of the slider (5) driving the sawblade (9) is derived from a driven bevel gear plate (3) with a crankpin (24) which engages in a transverse guide (28) on the underside of the slider (5). The slider moves in a carrier (6) which is supported on a pivot (11) at the front end. A vertical oscillating motion of the blade is also derived from the bevel gear plate (3), which has an eccentric disc (29) with a ball race (30) riding against the curved bottom end (31b) of an arm (31) whose upper end (31a) is connected by cross-pins (32) to the rear end of the slider carrier. ADVANTAGE - Robust design leading to reduced wear and lower production cost.
