Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> I in which X is -S-, -SO- or -SO2-; R1 is C7-10-alkyl or C7-10-alkoxy; R2 is a residue of the formula <IMAGE> (a) or <IMAGE> (b) R3 is carboxy or lower-alkoxycarbonyl; and n is an integer of 1, 2 or 3; and salts of carboxylic acids of formula I can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and diseases having a strong immunological component, such as psoriasis.
