METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EDITING IMAGE DATA

PURPOSE: To provide the method and device for image data editing which easily and accurately perform the fine adjustment of the arrangement position and dimensions of a character string to be overwritten and that of character spacing at the time of overwriting the character string on digital image data to edit them. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a character string attribute setting part 15 which sets a character string attribute to the character string to be overwritten, a character string coordinate transformation part 16 which subjects character data to coordinate transformation by the character string attribute, and a character string echo display part 17 which displayes the coordinate transformed character string as echo. The fine adjustment of the arrangement position and dimensions of the character string to be overwritten and that of character spacing are easily and accurately performed to improve the editing precision of image data editing processing.
