PURPOSE: To efficiently take a language analysis as compared with a conventional example by dividing language knowledge by layers. CONSTITUTION: A morpheme analysis part l divides a character string into words and gives morpheme information on part-of-speech and inflection information by referring to a morpheme analytic dictionary to generate a morpheme string, and a phrase structure analysis part 2 extracts phrases as linguistic structure elements consisting of plural words by referring to a phrase structure rule on the basis of the morpheme string to generate a phrase structure. A dependence structure analysis part 3 decides the master-slave relation between a word playing an important part in the word of the element of a phrase and other words by referring to a dependence structure rule on the basis of the phrase structure to generate a dependence structure, a case structure analysis part 4 determines the roles of the word playing the important part and other words by referring to a case structure analytic rule on the basis of the dependence structure to generate a case structure, and a meaning structure analysis part 5 extracts meaning information which is not distinctively represented in the words and phrases in a surface layer by referring to a meaning structure analytic rule on the basis of the case structure to generate a meaning structure. |
