PURPOSE:To execute easily an access by calculating the number of recording areas of a recording medium from a data length, detecting the recording area, and recording successively a data by an area portion, in case when a data is recorded from a control device to a rotary type recording device such as a disk device, etc. CONSTITUTION:A data D processed by a processing device 1 is stored in a memory 2 together with a data length DL. A track T of a disk 5 is constituted of plural sectors S1, S2, and as the disk 5 rotates, a sector pulse P can be outputted from an adaptor 6. When the adaptor 6 generates a transfer request RQ, a channel device 3 sends the data length DL in the memory 2 to a control device 4, a control part 7 receives it and calculates 2 of the number of sectors required for write from the data length DL, and when a sector pulse P1 is detected from the adaptor 6, a part d1 of a data D sent out of the memory 2 is stored in the sector S1 together with a flag, a counter 8 of the control part 7 is added by ''1'', and subsequently, when a sector pulse P2 is detected from the adaptor 6, the remaining data d2 is stored in the sector S2.
