<p>The separate instruments, sensors etc. of the vehicle are linked to the processor by a data bus, with each component identified by its unique code. The acoustic signals are generated by the processor and are produced by a single sound source. Each circuit has a distinctive tone eg. direction flashers. The separate tones are produced in sequence if more than one signal is required, to enable the driver to identify each separate system. The tones are generated in a priority sequence. The acoustic source can also be used with the radio, and can operate at different amplitudes.</p>
