PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation film for reproducing a digitally exposed medical diagnostic image, which consumes only a developer smaller in quantity than that of a conventional film and shows an excellent balance between a cold image tone and a minimum density. SOLUTION: The surface of a transparent film substrate is coated with an emulsion including a bromochloride grain which incorporates at least 10mol% Br per 1mol Ag (a), has an average equivalent circle diameter smaller than 0.40μm (b), shows an average aspect ratio smaller than 1.3 (c) and is covered at a silver covering rate smaller than 40mg/dm<2> . At least, one spectral sensitization dye having the half-width of an absorption peak in the spectral area of exposure by a controlled exposure source is absorbed into the surface of the bromochloride grain. The film is measured by a wavelength within a spectral area of 850 to 1100nm and the rear surface of the film substrate is coated with a magnetic recording layer unit incorporating an infrared impermeable dye capable of reducing the transmission of <50% parallel light through the film before, during and after processing.
