PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel stay on type easily openable can lid having excellent can opening property without necessitating repair with a coating material after forming a cutting guide groove. SOLUTION: In this can lid, the steel sheet coated both surfaces with the resin of 10-100μm in thickness and >=100% in breaking alongation is used as the raw material, and the minimum distance from the tab end to the cutting guide groove near the can edge is specified to be <=3mm, the length of the tab is specified to be >=35mm, and c/b is specified to be >=1.6 when (b) means the distance from the tab end to the tab fixed part and (c) means the distance from the tab fixed part to the finger engaging part. Further, the sheet thickness in the thinest part of the cutting guide groove cross section is specified to be >=1/2 of the sheet thickness before working, and the cutting guide groove cross section is specified to provide with the curvature of >=1mm to <=1.6mm in R.
