METHOD OF LOOSENING AND CONVEYING MINERAL RAW MATERIALS, IN PARTICULAR COAL, APPEARING IN GEOLOGICAL STRATA

An apparatus is described for parting and conveying coal, with winning pan sections and conveying pan sections as well as a revolving chain haulage with winning bodies and conveying bodies. Furthermore, a top-road drive station and a bottom-road return station with deflection devices for the chain haulage and the winning bodies or conveying bodies is realised. The return station allocated to the bottom-road conveyor is designed as a drive-free station and has a discharge head telescoping in the longitudinal direction of the pan sections and having an actuating drive for the discharge head. This actuating drive can be moved by the same travel displacements in the same travel direction with the actuating drive for the top-road return station designed as drive station by means of a common control. In this way, the driveless return station is accommodated completely in the face at the bottom road, and the discharge head can be advanced up towards the roadway support in order to achieve as close a transfer of the coal as possible with regard to a roadway conveyor arranged at the face. This is done without having to loosen side sections of the roadway support.
