RADIATION PICTURE READER

PURPOSE:To improve the reading accuracy and to attain the miniaturization for a radiation picture reader by carrying a storage type fluorescent plate with a close secured with the outer circumference of a revolving drum and reading a radiation latent image. CONSTITUTION:A storage type fluorescent plate 6 taken out of a cassette or a magazine is held with a close contact secured with a revolving drum 9. When the plate 6 reaches a prescribed position by the revolutions of the drum 9, a laser beam is irradiated to the plate 6 from an argon laser 34. Thus the fluorescent light is produced from the plate 6. This fluorescent light is collected and then converted into electricity by a photomultiplier 39. The information obtained from said electric conversion is processed at a signal processing part 40, and a radiation latent image is reproduced.
